11 Months Old

Tanner Lee is 11 Months Old. Still weighing 28 lbs, starting to wear 2T clothing and is cruising around furniture. He loves food, cuddles & squeals in the most adorable ways when Daddy gets a chance to come home from training!!! Almost party time for our little man! (wish we could freeeeeze time!)

After dating 5 years, we finally tied the knot- Friday October 8, 2004!!!

Our Much-Anticipated Date Night WITHOUT the Kids!!!

Tanner is now 3 months old!!! Andy & I hadn't gotten a chance to go to eat out without the kids since Tanner was born. My parents took the older 2 kids to sleep over night, and neighbor friends kept Tanner for a few hours (Momma wasn't quite ready to send him overnight yet!!!!!!!)

As you can see, Tanner got a lot of attention, making it easy for momma to drop him off for a while. Andy & I had the BEST TIME EVER- eating Thai food at Siam is a HUGE treat for us spicey-food lovers!!!!

I don't know when our next date night will happen, but I will cherish this one for a long time! :)

Victories Won

SO giddy with excitement at the fact that God is still radically calling the lost to Him and changing them from the inside out!!! A young couple Andy and I have gotten reaquainted with recently told us up front that they were not married and were not Christians. We made a choice to love them where they were at, and leave the leading up to God. I don't want to "tell" their story for them, so I will let them feel free to share the details when they are ready. LONG story short, they got saved today, made some super tough decisions and set a wedding date. I can't wait to see what God is going to do in their future. Thank you, Jesus for 2 brand new names in The Lamb's book of life! All glory to Jesus. It's all about Him anyway!

My Valentine

My husband is the man I admire most in this life. He is the kind of man who does what is right whether it is popular or not, whether others understand his decisions or not. I see him seek the Lord for daily strength to lead our little family, for character on the job, for a ready testimony for the searching lost. I've watched him grow into the kind of man I pray our daughter can find in a husband someday. In a culture where men are being made fun of as weak and wimpy, men like Andy are such a rare find, and I will be forever grateful that God chose me to be the one who gets to share life with this amazing man.
I appreciate the fact that Andy has never been unfaithful to me. I can trust him with all my heart. He has stood by me through the rough waters and through the triumphant victories. He is still all of those things that I had on my "list" as a teenager, as I dreamed of the man I hoped to someday marry. He still writes me letters, texts and emails to remind me of how much he loves me. He has encouraged me to fight for my health, to overcome my fears and self-doubt. He is a champion in my heart.
Andy is a fierce protector of our home when negative forces try to storm our hearts. He has captured the hearts of our little children and they look up to him as their hero. There is no request from the kids that is too silly for Andy to act out. It means so much to me that he takes the time to pray with the kids. He is consistent with healthy discipline with them, and strives to be the kind of Dad he knows they each need.
I have claimed this scripture and pray it for Andy often: Hebrews 13:20-21:

²⁰ "Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, ²¹ equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory forever and ever. "

It can be challenging to be a military wife. We have to run the household and take care of the children while our husbands are away for weeks to months at a time. But we don't have to be an army of one...This link (webcast) is a great encouragement from Focus on the family for other fellow military wives.
I love being an Army wife, however it obviously has its hardships just like anyone else in the center of God's leading. I certainly am thankful to have these kinds of resources to use in times of struggle!
