Rest in Peace

Yesterday, I attended the funeral services for SPC. Jason Woodruff, who got killed in the car crash Monday in front of the armoury on his way to work. He was supossed to have deployed with the rest of the unit, but had a back injury while they were training at Ft. Bragg. Andy knew him and hung out with him sometimes, and said he was a great guy. I just thought is was sad and ironic that we are praying for our guy's saftey in Afghanistan, and then this happened back home. It is a reminder to tell your loved ones each day how much they mean to you, just in case...This was my first military funeral, and it was very respectful and honorable.

Firing the 21 shots, followed by "Taps"

This is the man at fault for Andy being in the Guard. (just kidding) This was Andy's recruiter- SSGT. Mark Bennick Ret.
