Our New Workout

This is our new "toy", more like slave-master! haha. An elliptical machine combines the efforts of stair climbing, walking, and/or running without being as hard on the joints as those actual activities would be. I had high hopes for my first work-out on this to be 20-30 minutes, and I have to admit, I did not reach that goal...so I will just have to start with two 15-minute workouts during the day. Now that the weather is getting nice, I love to take the kids to the park, but on days that is not possible, it is so nice having something to eliminate excuses to not exercise.

At the YMCA the other day, Darrell saw this and suggested I do it for a while and then walk. WELL, "for awhile" was about 5 minutes!!! That thing made me feel like a loon! I think the next time I made it to 6-7 minutes, but boy! I think I'll stick to my walking/running!

Haha! I know! I can only do 10 minutes at a time with just starting out!!! It's a killer, but I'm hoping for killer results! :)
