Sadie Hazel meets her Great-Granny Hazel

Andy's Granny Hazel came down this weekend and met Sadie Hazel. She said her favorite baby stage is Newborn. Sadie got held most of the time we were together by her Great-Granny.

BIG Brother, little Sister

A lot of people have been asking how Clayton is doing with a little sister. Well, we are really blessed that he is not the jealous type when we hold her at all. He is mostly very curious about her. He occasionally says "Sadie", but more often just calls her "Baby". The thing we really have to watch out for with him is, if Sadie is crying or seems upset in her bouncy seat, Clayton will toss her paci, or even one of his toys in a her, as if to say, "there ya go...will that make you happy?" Sometimes when she is crying, he walks over, looks at her 'sternly' and say a big "SSHHH!" :) What a kid! All in all, we think he likes her though!

Sadie Is 1 Week Old Today

Sadie is such a little angel! She eats every 3 1/2-4 hours, and only cries when she is extremely hungry. She has no choice but to be a Daddy's girl (since Daddy "hogs" her all the time :) She really is a sweetheart and we are having the best time with her.

Ready for the big day

I was told (will get a phone call to confirm later today) that my C-section should get started around 9:30am tomorrow. I'm glad it's not a ridiculous hour, although I'm sure I'll have to be earlier than that to get everything started. I am SO looking forward to not being pregnant!!! :) And most of all, looking forward to meeting this precious baby girl!!!

Today consists of just spending some quality time with Clayton before he goes off to grandparent's for the weekend. I feel like I miss him already! I am not stressing about the house cleaning today like I thought I would/should. If you come to visit me after I have the baby, just remember I was huge when I left it, and only felt like doing so much! :)

There may not be any posting on here until we get home (which is looking like Monday), so just hang in there with us. I promise pictures as soon as we can! Your prayers are appreciated!

Lovin' that Corn!

Clayton enjoyed his corn on the cob!!!! I cut some off for him until it cooled down enough to hold, and he was happy to "do it himself!"

YUMMY!

Lack of Tact!

Walmart Employee: When are you due!!???
Me: This Friday
Walmart Employee: WOW! You are really big!
Me: That's always nice to hear...
Walmart Employee: I mean, is there only one in there? (pointing to my belly)
Me: Yep
Walmart Employee: Well, I guess you can at least be proud of what's in there.
Me: Clayton, say bye to the nice lady

Some people just know how to word things, ya know?
Anyway, we're down to 4 days to wait!!! Drink lots of water-it's a killer out there!

Last Ultrasound

I can't seem to upload any pictures...GGRRR!!! I did have my last ultrasound today though, and probably due to the special diet, the baby has not grown "huge" as we once thought she would. She measures at 7.5lbs, so she should be a normal healthy weight at birth. Only 9 days to wait! We can't wait to meet our princess!
~~~
I am more than ready to be done with this pregnancy! Everything is ready (except for the daily messes a certain toddler makes- toys everywhere, couch cushions on the floor...) But that is life. For a few days when I had a lot of contractions, I tried to race after Clayton and pick everything up in his wake. Now I just let it wait until evening, and life goes on! Clayton seems fascinated with babies and pictures of babies, and he is getting a special Thomas the Train set when his baby sister comes home, so we are hoping that adjustment will be ok.
