Kiddie Pool

I finally had a chance to get water into Clayton's new kiddie pool today. (Poor guy has gone without swimming for almost a whole summer!) He was so excited, but not sure he wanted to sit down in the water...

So he splashed around for a while...

Then PLOP...he loves his new kiddie pool!!!

Can He Really Be 18 Months Today!?

What a joy Clayton is in our lives!!! He is so active and is learning new words every day.
~He is really a climber, and he loves to play outside.
~He lines up all his trucks, cars & trains in a straight line every single day.
~He is learning to put his toys away when we say "clean up" (then he claps his hands and says "YAY!"
~He is a challenge in church since he just wants down to roam, but he LOVES to put money in the offering plate!!!
~He sings "Yeah, Jesus loves me" (not Yes....Yeah! :)
~He loves anything Thomas the Train!!!

RIP, Zorro

When our under-ground dog fence malfunctioned (due to lighting storms) our dog of 4 years, Zorro, ran across the busy road and got hit by a car. We will miss him!

Medication :(

I have trying to keep my blood sugars very low, and yet I got a message today saying I am to go on medication. I was disappointed at this, but I am still glad it's a pill type and not insulin shots! I can't wait for all of this to be OVER. My OB put in the order for my C-section to be August 14th. We'll see if I last that long.

Packing my bags-35 days to go!

I am packing up my hospital bags, since Andy leaves for a couple weeks of training tomorrow. I am preparing ahead of time in case something would happen while he is away. (Seems like I've done this before...!!!) The baby's bag is all packed, and I am working on mine & Clayton's. Does anyone have any unique ideas for me to take-things that you had or WISH you'd had to make your hospital stay more comfortable? I'm interested to know!

Gestational Diabetes it is...

My appointment went as well as can be expected this morning at Geisinger's OB "high-risk" clinic. I do have gestational diabetes, and I was really dreading the words "insulin shots" but I am allowed to control my sugar levels with diet! I have to turn in my tests every day, and go for a fetal non-stress test 2x per week until the baby is born. She is already measuring at close to 7lbs., and is predicted to be 9lbs. when born at 39 weeks. (Aug.14th)

These are the 4D ultrasound pictures. In this one, the baby is looking towards the right with her mouth open -(smiling???)
