Baby, It's Cold Outside!

I dug out winter clothes for Clayton to wear to church tonight. It's so cold!!!! (yay! I love winter!)He looked so cozy in his layers, I just had to snap a couple pictures.

This is what I saw as I rounded the corner to Clayton's room today! He had been playing on the floor with his toys, but managed to figure out how to climb up onto the rocking chair. I'm just glad I saw this before hearing a loud thump. He was quite proud of himself!

Clayton~9 Months Today!!!

The list of Clayton's Accomplishments are quickly growing! He loves to try to feed himself, he plays well by himself, he walks ("cruises") holding onto things with just one hand, loves to climb on anything and everything! He says "Dada & Mum", he sniffs like a puppy dog for laughs, he "sings" along to music, claps his hands, shakes his head yes & no....and many more things that I'm sure I'm forgetting. The best thing is that he has turned into a wonderful sleeper! He goes to bed around 8pm, and doesn't wake up until 9:30AM!!! (Lucky me!)He is a barrel of fun & is as ornery as they come. If there is a mess to make, he is SURE to find it!!!

2 New Teeth

Clayton's teeth come in pairs. (Dis that happen with your kids?) The bottom 2 came in when he was 6 months, and now his top 2 came in this week. We will both be thankful for the break from drooling & snotty-nose, that seems to happen when those teeth finally come in.

Not a flattering picture, but I was trying to see those teeth. You can't see them well here, but in "real life" you can since they are all the way through the skin now.

No singing "All I Want For Christmas is My 2 Front Teeth" for this one!!!

Jacket Weather-YAY!

This is the picturesque railroad we cross on the way to my parent's house after church. The sun was a little too bright for good pictures, & Clayton preferred playing in the leaves & rocks rather than pose for all of Mommy's pictures.

Busy Painting the Porch

I have been busy with church revival, painting my neglected porch, Christmas shopping and general stocking-up with the anticipation of my husband's return from Afghanistan in a few short weeks! I still have more to do on my porch (some on the other side) but I find it rewarding to post this along the way instead of just waiting until the very end. So here is the freshly painted porch floor, as well as fresh-painted porch furniture. (I still have to sweep it, and then paint the trim, so maybe more pics to come when that's done...?)

Aliyah is the beautiful baby girl of Eric & Jill Susan. I tell Clayton all the time that she is too pretty to pass up, and that he has to claim her quick! lol ;) It looks like he's taking my advice. (Clayton's Daddy asked me out after church 9 years ago!) Like Father, like Son???


Maybe we'll use these pictures someday at their wedding, in their slideshow...lol (notice her hand on his knee~so sweet! And he looks like he has just done something macho! lol)

Decorating for Fall

I LOVE everything about fall! It's definitely my favorite season. I especially love decorating for fall and creating new centerpieces and arrangements every year with the gorgeous colors of autumn! Here are some of my finished projects.

He's A Climber
