Rest in Peace

Yesterday, I attended the funeral services for SPC. Jason Woodruff, who got killed in the car crash Monday in front of the armoury on his way to work. He was supossed to have deployed with the rest of the unit, but had a back injury while they were training at Ft. Bragg. Andy knew him and hung out with him sometimes, and said he was a great guy. I just thought is was sad and ironic that we are praying for our guy's saftey in Afghanistan, and then this happened back home. It is a reminder to tell your loved ones each day how much they mean to you, just in case...This was my first military funeral, and it was very respectful and honorable.

Firing the 21 shots, followed by "Taps"

This is the man at fault for Andy being in the Guard. (just kidding) This was Andy's recruiter- SSGT. Mark Bennick Ret.

He Gets it Honest

I always sleep with my feet hanging off the end of the bed. I just never thought Clayton may prefer that too! LOL

Looking like he's up to something. He's been staring on the crib rail for a long time.

Almost there...

Finally reaching his Goal! 1st time "gumming" the crib rail.

Wednesday's Weight Loss Tip

~Don't Quit. It's not as easy as it sounds though, is it? Did you ever have one of those days or weeks where you wish you could erase it all and start over? Yeah, that would be how I currently feel. But no matter what the situation, remember that if you refuse to quit, the victory will outweigh the struggele. I really don't have much more to offer than that. You have something you are facing, just like me, so whatever that thing is that is on your mind that seems insurmountable, just keep telling yourself (like that blue train in the story book) "I think I can, I think I can..." And you probably will.

Clayton @ 7 Months

Clayton is 7 months. Is it possible?
~He is crawling all over now
~He is eating me out of house & home
~He says "Baa" when he sees a picture of a sheep. (at first I thought it was coincidence, but he does it every time now)
~He is starting to "feel his oats" when tired.
~His feet prance all around like a pony when someone holds onto his fingers.
~He is our pride and joy, and we are so blessed to have him!

Another Park, Another Time

The other night, my sister-in-law invited me to take our kids out to eat and then to the park. This is Ashley being so patient with Clayton, picking all his toys off the floor each time he swiped them off the high chair tray.

Cousin Lauren is funny. Clayton enjoyed playing with her at the park. (Ashley was off on the big climber making lots of friends!)

Clayton really enjoyed the intrumental music in the gazebo!

That was fun. Time to go home.

Playin' at the Park

I just gotta' get in there!

A boy could live here forever

Why can't I get anywhere?

This is the life. Grass, toys and a blanket.

Not as fun as in the tub...

Time to go home

Tonight was the wedding for Brent Susan and Alicia Redmond. Sorry some of these pictures are so blurry. (I had to zoom in a lot and Clayton bumped the camera a lot..)
