Biggie Boy!

Grammy measured Clayton today to see what he is at 2 months, and he is exactly 26 inches! What a biggy boy! (He was 21.5" at birth, and 22.5" at 1 month)

Clayton really amazes me some days! He slept eight hours straight last and six or seven the night before-what a lucky Mom I am! He is such a sweetie-pie and rewards me every morning with full-blown smiles. I think he must be a morning person...

2 Months Today

Clayton is growing like a weed! Alicia weighed him today and he weighs in at 13 lbs. He wears 3-6mo. clothes, and eats up to 8oz. at a time! He is awake most of the day, but thankfully sleeps well at night! He loves music, (especially Johnny Cash!)

This is Clayton's first Easter!!!

Here come Peter-Clayton-tale, hopping down the bunny trail...

This is Grammy's work of art.

Easter Box

This is Clayton's Easter card to Daddy.

This is the box that we sent Andy for Easter. He hasn't gotten this particular box yet,, so I won't ruin all the surprises if he checks this post!

Recovering Specialist

If you are wondering about this title, it does have a 2-fold meaning. I am now recovering decently from my gall bladder surgery. I have a lot of pain and nausea yet, but I should be feeling back to normal soon. I will definitely be back to school by Wednesday. I have been staying at my parents' place, and they have waited on Clayton and me hand and foot.

I got a call from Andy yesterday, and he got promoted by the "Easter bunny" on March 23. At least that's what the officer said when he promoted Andy to Specialist Plank!!! I am so proud of my soldier!!!

Melting Mommy's Heart

This is Clayton's early Easter gift from us. He kicks it with his feet, and it plays farm songs and animal noises. Clayton LOVES music, so it wasn't hard to guess that this crib toy would put a huge smile on his face & completely melt my heart!!!

Upcoming Surgery

I have gotten a lot of emails and phone calls from friends and family wondering about my gall bladder situation. So, thanks to everyone for your concern! My surgery to have it removed is this coming Friday, 21st at Geisinger. They are planning to do it lapriscopically, so that I should be in and out within the same day. I really hope that's how it goes!I am more than ready to eat cheeseburgers and chocolate again! That even sounds good to me for Easter dinner! Anyway, thank you for your thoughts and prayers- I appreciate it so much.

more family picture poses

There were so many poses in our family photo shoot, that it was hard to narrow down what we wanted!!! Here are a few more of my favorites. I will probably feature a few more around Mother/Father's Day(s). They were obviously our first family pictures. but also Clayton's one-month pictures. I loved them all!!!

All Through the Night

My sweetie-boy slept through the night last night!!! I fed him around 10:30 before I went to bed, and was surprised to realize this morning that he didn't wake up at all during the night! He slept until a little after 6 am, and since he is usually up before then, I slept too late myself, and was almost late for school!
NOT complaining though!!! (He probably won't sleep at all tonight now. Ugh)

Remember Babar?

My brother-in-law & sister-in-law recently got back from their vacation in France, and this is the souvenir they bought Clayton in Paris! Andy loved Babar stories as a kid, and I hope Clayton will too, (if we can find some that aren't in French)

Army Buddies

I went to see a fellow Army wife yesterday. Her husband is deployed with mine, and their baby boy, Ryan, is just two weeks older than Clayton. We had a great visit, and we let the boys "play" together on the floor. It's great to have a friend that can truly relate to deployment and the stresses that go along with it. I will be looking forward to many more of our visits!!!

Clayton doesn't know that it's not nice to greet Ryan by punching him in the face...

There- that's better.

Lazy PJ Day

Today is a lazy day at my house. Clayton and I are going to enjoy my day off school. (teacher in-service day) WooHoo! I really don't have much to post about, obviously...

They finally meet!

Cousins Clayton and Cayden finally got to meet today! They were born on the same day, January 27, just eight hours apart, but we havn't been able to get together to meet until today. Sarah and I had a nice visit and even swapped babies long enough to coo over them. I know these two little boys will grow up to be buddies, and maybe even get into a little mischief along the way... Time will tell!
